I forget how many of these things we need for the dating sim. If we need one more, I think we should try to work in something maid/butler related since people have been requesting some kind of maid/butler/host thing for a while now. What do you think...?

Also, I'm not particularly proud of/think that these intros are very catchy, I just felt like I ought to provide something more substantial to work off of after making both you and lba do the bulk of the work these last few times. So if either of you feel like you can come up with something catchier pleeeeeaaase propose edits.

And obviously those images will need to be made a lot smaller. I was thinking maybe we could make all of the locale ones into thumbnails that if you click on them will open up a bigger version of the picture so people can see? It might seem silly to include these things, but I thought visual aids might make things a little easier/fun for people and a little more true to the way dating sims/otome games work.

...Also it might be worth encouraging people to deviate from the "cast" list if they think of something we didn't/didn't have room for but still fits the scene. For example, I thought elf or fairy would have made for an interesting addition to the fantasy one, but we already seemed to have a lot without any strain sooo.

I'd have to look to see how many we need, or otherwise I'll be tweaking the code we're using and that might be a nightmare.

And they're certainly not bad blurbs. I like them. We can work as we go. :)

As for maids, I was thinking either that or domestic (wife/husband, suburbia, possible incest kink because what kind of dating sim wouldn't?). Possibly both.

Also, idk if we shouldn't mention we're doing this on anoncomm, to make sure we don't up with a repeat of last week. WE'RE CLAIMING THE NEXT SPOT, damn it. :|

If we're keeping the same exact number of tags, excluding the OOC explanation for how to play, I think that makes for seven tabs? Which means we have room for both I believe. I'll have to doublecheck of course but I think that's what I counted last.

Another anoncomm? Flibberty gibbets, I can't wait for this to get centralized onto TLH so that we don't have to worry about this. I agree that I don't want a repeat of last week. -- But yes, I agree that this one should go first. At some point I may ask you for assistance for doing some code work for the battle / game post, if you're alright with that, but I'll have to actually do the write up for it first. But this meme is the priority atm.

--Speaking of which, I think we should delay THIS post until late in the week. People are saying that people are quitting out of the old memes before anything's getting finished because people don't have the attention span for more than one at a time. We put a lot of work into these not to see them actually get enjoyed. Of course if you disagree I will defer but this one is a Loooooot of work and I don't want to see it wasted.

Maybe we should post something on anon comm. I was really hoping the mods were going to have their post soon on TLH so we could have that nice calendar someone suggested but. It's starting to feel hopeless waiting for them to get around to doing anything. I'm trying real hard not to hop on the hate-the-mods bandwagon here, but I'm starting to get angry by how long it's taking to do anything. It's two weeks later. I mod at a community. I know that it does not take two weeks to address an issue like this to the general comm, or it shouldn't.

Me too. I enjoy doing this stuff, don't get me wrong, but primarily I like to be able to play and i've been neglecting my real game a bit as well as personal side projects in order to do these. Hopefully some other folks will step up to bat a little bit so we can have a breather too.

And yeeeeah, I'm a bit pissed at the mods too, though I'm not badmouthing them. It's kind of a big thing, and how things pan out will decide whether I continue doing these things. Plus, I guess I just don't understand why all the mods have to be on at the exact same time and why they can't just get the okay? I mean, it's TLH. Not an extremely involved thing.

I'm not sure why this is being treated like a controversial thing, either, tbh. At least, in so far as "will people support protecting content." I could see the scheduling thing being something that sets somebody's panties on fire given that it's TLH and people are never happy if they don't have something to be unhappy about. I mean, is there really a group of people out there who's going to be supportive of people just ripping us off...? I realize that since this is DW rp and people use uncredited fanart and pictures all the time it kind of puts this on shaky ground but.

I've been wishing for a while we'd just gone ahead and talked with the bakerstreet mod about this issue; i feel then at least we'd know how they feel about it on their end. .... oh well. Hopefully, something will come of it... soon... /twiddles thumbs
